Hotel Furniture in Kazakhstan: Complete Project Guide

A comprehensive approach to hotel furnishing: what to consider at every stage from lobby to guest room.

Hotel furnishing is a large-scale project that requires coordination between designer, architect and furniture supplier. Errors are costly — redoing the room inventory after opening means a partial shutdown. At SANDALUCI we have completed projects for Phoenix Swisshotel Almaty, Holiday Inn Astana and several boutique hotels.

Lobby: First and Last Impression

The lobby is the calling card of the hotel. Sofas and waiting chairs need high-density filling with minimum 40 kg per cubic metre to maintain shape under intensive use. At Phoenix Swisshotel we used modular sofas with 45 kg per cubic metre filling — after 18 months of daily guest flow the shape was unchanged. Coffee tables: stone or glass tops are easiest to maintain and heat-resistant.

Restaurant and Breakfast Hall

Versatility is key: breakfast, lunch, dinner, banquet — the same space needs to serve all formats. Stackable chairs and folding tables allow the room to be reconfigured in 15-20 minutes by 2-3 staff. Buffet table height: 90-95 cm for a standing format. For banquets: round tables 160-180 cm diameter seat 8-10 guests comfortably.

Guest Rooms

A desk with power outlet and USB port is now a standard expectation, not a selling point. Beds with upholstered headboards soften the space visually and are comfortable for reading. Hardware quality shows up in drawer runners and wardrobe fittings — this is what fails first. At Holiday Inn we specified Hettich Germany drawer runners throughout — zero failures in two years.

Timelines and Logistics

Production in Turkey: 30-45 days. Delivery to Kazakhstan: 10-15 days. Customs clearance: 3-5 days. Total from specification sign-off to installation-ready furniture: 45-65 days. Start working with your supplier at least 3 months before the planned opening date.
